The egg wiggles a bit and your eyes begin to hurt after a bit.

I shift the egg into one arm and rub my eyes with my free hand. I decide to turn back the way I came and start walking in that direction. While walking I carefully tuck the egg into my bag.

I stop and look around frantically, for I have a fear of the dark. I attempt at calming down, breathing slowly, then I feel around for the closest tree that has thick branches

I turn my hammer and try to get a shard of glass by nudging it off with the hammers handle

Adjusting my bag so the egg doesn't fall, I slowly start to climb the tree, finding a branch high enough and thick enough, I settle down on it with my bag in my lap. Something comes to mind so I feel around inside the bag, trying to figure out what I have with me.
