I'd head down the stairs, watching the walls for anything else.

Upon entry, all the furniture was overturned and broken. Drapes were hanging from one side of a window and shredded. The place was an utter mess. The hearth was smoldering coals.

Two paths were found after a few long moments of walking. The left path was shrouded with trees and oddly lush compared to the rest of the forest. The right path looked normal

Only one painting stood out of the paintings as the staircase spiraled downwards. It almost looked like a Ny'Vene, except it had an extra pair of wings and two tails. At the bottom of the staircase, three tunnels went off in there own ways. Left, right or middle?

I'd take the middle path. If there was a torch on the wall I'd take that with me.

I search the place for any clues, paying close attention to all of the broken furniture before going over to the hearth and inspecting it closer as well.

Only an empty torch sconce welcomes you into the tunnel. The tunnel seems to be pretty well lit by itself. The cave soon melted into a beautiful walkway with glowing gemstones in the walls. An eerie yet comforting blue glow came from these stones. The cave seemed to go on forever until you stumble upon a pocket of open space. Within this space was what appeared to be a living space. A stone bed was place in the left hand corner. A smaller, round fur bed was next to the stone slab. A round, stone table was in the center of the room as well as a few low burning candles. No one seemed to be home.

No claw or teeth marks were found on anything, everything appeared to be clean breaks. Except for a few splinters every now and then. Although there were some boot prints were darkened with coal dust leading into the kitchen around. The hearth seemed to look normal. Handprints were found inside of the chimney, as if they were looking for something.

I cautiously follow the bootprints into the kitchen, remembering the handprints for later.

The boot prints faded as they went out an open backdoor. Cupboards were opened and dishes were on the floor. The fridge had vegetables spilling out of it and the freezer was locked shut. It appears someone was looking for something.
