With my Vulps, I swim back to the surface. While Rowan is still holding onto it, I pull the pearl closer for safe-keeping.
"Careful! I want to get this appraised next time we're in town," I say. Before either can respond, I add, "Of course, I'll probably keep it since you two seem to love it. I'm just curious!"
Before I continue swimming, I say "How about we return to the shore now?"
