I can't remember that far back about where to find the quest, I think it just happens automatically. Does this thread help?

Help! What happens if your pets are "malnourished" and you can't get enough gold to feed them? Will they die? And also, how can you get a Sylesti out of a mission when it's finished?

I have a question, how do you see the hidden genes/mutations on pets?

For example, a Ny'vene showing bone armor with hidden back spikes. Both are in the same mutation slot, and people often say that a pet has a "hidden" trait. How do they find out about these "hidden" traits?

Two general ways:
(Btw you must test the pet in order to see the hidden trait)

1. Pet search the pet, and look at their genes. If it is in purple text, it should have a hidden trait. The letters that correspond do not match if they're hidden (AD). The first letter that comes in the alphabet is the more dominant trait (A), and the second that comes after is the hidden trait (D). You can look in the drop down list for the respective slot to see which trait corresponds to which letter.

2. You can take the image of the URL and look at the coding. Just like in method 1, you can see in the alphabet code for the respective slot (gc being gene/mc being mutation) if it bears a hidden trait or not.

http://www.sylestia.com/imagebuilder.php?species=ny%27vene&breed=sylesti&gender=male&gd1=NG&gd2=NC&gd3=NN&md1=EF&md2=NN&md3=NN&ec=565b9e&c1=2b2420&c2=bc8412&c3=1c1706&gd1c=643f07&gd2c=0d1311&gd3c=f0823b&md1c=c9f9f7&md2c=3507c3&md3c=e7d180&maturity=648&size=250
(See how for mutation 1, md1, there's EF? The dominant is E, and the hidden recessive is F.)

Though, bone armor is recessive to back spikes. Back spikes is A, while bone armor is...some other letter. I think. xD (I know you probably meant it as an example though)
