"Three sailors..." Ivan said, gazing at them. He looked for any sign of weakness. Any hint of mutiny would make him drop the sailor off at the nearest port... or abandoned island.

The sailors would mutiny if they were bored or unhappy with the conditions, as well as if they ran out of food. You couldn't tell properly, but all of them seemed to have no loyalty so far.

Ivan smiled. "After I get food, we will be ready to set out." he said. He looked out across the sea.

Ivan smiled and stepped onto the boat. "Are we ready to head out?" he asked.

They gave a nod and hauled up the anchor then pulled in the gangway. The sails opened, "the wind is blowing north, which way would you like the sails to face, Captain?" one of the sailors asked.

"Forwards. We need to get out of this port, da?" Ivan said, smiling. He looked at the horizon.

He gave a nod. The wind was battering against the sails diagonally, the only way out of port was down the passage, which was facing South-West. The crew started turning the wheel and soon you were off. As you headed further out, a day in, the waves got rougher, but not rough enough to cause any harm. The journey seemed to be going smoothly, but the wind had changed directly and was catching on the sails, slowing you down. The wind was heading North-East, against you.

"Close the sails!" Ivan said. "If we don't, the wind will push us farther off course!"
