Knuckles awoke the next morning only to be pelted by heavy rain. It took him a moment to remember where he was, exactly.
"Right. Stranded on an island in the middle of nowhere,"
The third thing he noticed was that Clik's beacon was gone.
"Great. And I'm stuck here with a dragon who's only half sane,"
He let out a sigh. "This is gonna be a long day," he mumbled as he got up to his feet.
He summoned his emerald, stareing into it's crystalline surface for a while before huffing and dismissing it again.

.:he pulled up a holographic screen; 'it feels strange to mess with other technology that isn't my own...':.

"I meant are you ready to face a Chaos Emerald?" Tails rephrased gently.

.:he blinked, rubbing his head dumbfoundedly 'Oh, then yeah...':.

"All right then. Let's go outside," Tails suggested. He opened up the garage door, and trotted up to the Tornado.

Tails opened up the side hatch, pulling out the Purple Emerald, which gave off a soft glow. Tails hesitated. "....How do you feel....?" He asked.

"Really? Perfectly fine? Phew, what a relief. I gotta admit, I was worried for a moment there..." Tails sighed.
