Piper frowned, kicking at the ground. "Idiotic, good-looking people!"
"Excuse me? Are you talking about me?" Laurel teased.

"Yes" Piper said to Xander. "What Syl said." She tried to look dignified, but tripped over a table leg as she walked.
He raised an eyebrow at her. "Bye Merriweather- and I'll see you in class."

"Oh, you guys didn't know? My bad, I should've told you, I was about to leave now, we gotta meet up with Sylver and the others, so let's hurry" he said, Akitsu climbing onto his shoulder as he walked out of the door.

Sylver instinctually grabbed the back of Piper's shirt to catch her. Sylver's little brother tripped a lot, and sometimes she would trip and catch him as a little joke, but she made sure he never fell.
Piper felt a grin spread on her face. "Yeah. Yeah, sure."

Rick Knight
I was almost-running down the corridor towards the lift, with Gervasius complaining loudly on my shoulder as he was jolted this way and that by my movements.
Hey! HEY! Slow down! Stop that! His speech consisted of nothing more than those few and phrases repeated over and over again. I knew he was not going to be pleased at all, and that I was going to have to put up with his ranting for several hours afterwards, but that was the least of my concerns at that moment in time.
Once I reached the lift, I waited for the others to enter. The rush to get there as swiftly as possible meant there was enough adrenaline for me not to be out of the breath by the time my hand was over the button, ready to press it.

Why Rick was deciding to move so quickly was anyone's guess. Obviously, there was the fact that we were quite late for breakfast, but not so much that it would require so much effort to get there in a reasonable time. Airel was easily keeping pace with me, somewhat annoyed by Rick's urge to get there so quickly, and was eager to repeat my own thoughts to me.
I do not understand. Why does he rush like so? Surely there is no need? I ignored this, and continued to follow at a pace until I had reached the lift as well.
