"Ah." Asuriel shifted awkwardly. "okay." she tried to go back to her book, but after a few minutes she put it down and dug through her stuff, pulling a pair of weighted wooden practice daggers with a rubber coating out. she started to go through some basic self defense practice motions.

Nanita and Lish managed to come right before Princess Gem had the servanta take everyone to their rooms. Lish turned to Nanita and imemdiately started giving her a quick lwcture on "watch your manners" in a hushed voice before he left.
Nanita roleld her eyes at him. He was much too used to working for her annoyingly lenient nerdry brothers.
