They both look good! My first pokemon in PMD was a Turtwig and that Turtwig actually had a very similar moveset, heh!

My starter was a Piplup, although I was torn between it and Turtwig and eventually ended up restarting after I beat the Champion, picking the Turtwig this time, and my team has always included a Staraptor and a Luxray. Sometimes a Bibarel just for the fact that it can use a bunch of HMs or Gyarados (which I always spell wrong) or a Porygon or Togepi
My favorite legendary was always Dialga though
Or maybe Articuno

My very first starter ever was a Totodile in SoulSilver. I prefer Cyndaquil now, though.
I don't really remember my SoulSilver team. I know I had a Pidgeot and my Fraligatr, think I had an Espeon too.... :/ I remember wanting a Skarmory but never being able ro catch one.
My current team in Sword is Cinderace, Low-Key Toxtricity, Flapple, Theivul, Bolthund, and Corvisquire.
I prefer Articuno to Dialga, but my favorite Legendary is a tie between Lugia and Reshiram, with Latios and Zamezenta coming in as a close third and fourth.

I don't know why I loved Dialga so much. Like, I was Dialga-obsessed in fifth grade, and no one knows why.
My team is Empoleon (Bubbles), Dialga - yea, I caught it (Bob), Torterra (Sapling) that I restarted the game twice and traded with my brother in order to get, Staraptor (Epic Bird), Luxray (Sparktail), and I'm currently leveling up a Porygon-Z - again, more trading (Aurora).

I mean, Dialga's pretty cool; one of the antigonists in PMD, actually. And the controller of time seems like a useful pokemon to own, XD
Plus, he had a Primal form 7 years before it became a cool thing in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

I'm so sorry! Just realized I never responded to your form!
Er... There's no way to say this in a way that isn't awkward, but I'm going to try. I probably should have mentioned this sooner, but I'm not very comfortable with same-gender romance, not necessarily people who are into that kind of thing, just the act itself. I'm really don't want to debate over it though. Regardless, I'll accept it, but please try to keep the dates and such low key if you don't mind.
