It sort of stresses me out a bit as well, because, unfortunately, drastic changes would punish normal players, who release their own pets and breed responsibly as well as those who are considered part of the problem.

That is why I said I am not sure that the original problem (deflation of pet values due to over breeding and selling fertile pets) can really be helped. Thus, the best thing to do is try to create other markets that will stay valuable.

This would be really cool. Before you sell, you could select either:

'Days'

or

'Times Bred'

Days would mean that the user would have x amount of days to breed the pet before it would become infertile.

Times bred would mean that the user would have x amount of chances to breed the pet before it would become infertile.

I would love this option! If this came into play, I may have to get an infertility kit...

no support this is a direct opposition to krin's stance on 'once you sell a pet it is not yours' and I agree with him on this.

May have already been said, but...

Maybe there could be a tag on the pet that says '5 breeds left' or '24 hours left' to prevent this from happening .-.

1)Either infertile it before you sell it, sell out 'breeding right' (breed to ID). But once a pet exchange is made the original owner should not have any more say over it. (Unless the pet was specifically sold under the agreement that two players have already worked out)

2)I do play a game where some pets have limited breedings (per their creators request) and it, along with a few other factors, has mad the game pay to play and it would deeply upset some of us if that happened with sylestia.
