Everyone escapes the other dimension, murders demons with other demons, and narrowly avoids an interspecies war. Although a war would've been interesting. And of course, people die in the process.

After defeating the god of time, you cease to exist because you're actually a human from another dimension. The entire scene is a feels train as your partner mourns over your disappearence. However, the god of time then revives you and everything is fine again.
