Sorry. Its just that the school is in the middle of a giant continent and the only watery thing nearby is a river. Merfolk have their own schools to attend that fit their needs better.

If you really want to paly a mermaid, you could be a hybrid like the Powells or Tracey-Tracey is halfSiren, so she has legs but the abilities of a siren, and the Powell trio have leg but can change that to a tail if they enter water.
