(I'm going to drop off the options this time because you've continued speaking - if I sense an end to the conversation, I'll add them back. Conversely, if you ever feel you want them back, let me know and I'll add them back!)
The woman looks around quickly. "No one!" she answers you, perhaps a bit too loudly. "I'm no one! Don't you worry about me," she laughed nervously and took another step back. Her hands fiddled with some sort of string right in front of her.
(Gotcha)
"So, uh, no one, what's that?" I ask her, nodding at whatever she's doing with the string.

"It's, um..." For a moment, it looked like she was about to say 'nothing', as noncommittal as she had been thus far. "It's a string," she said instead, though, and held it out to you with a trembling hand. It was about a foot long. "I-I found it on the ground, not that far from this town."
(In dialogue mode, you also have the power to do certain things - for instance, taking the string and doing whatever you want with it, like tucking it into your satchel or draping it over your neck.)

I take it and idly tie it in a knot. "Where are you from?"

At first, your question caused the woman to become more defensive. "Nowhere you know!" she said harshly, and then sighed and looked away. "I'm from the mountains," she said then. "Where are you from, Sorren?"

She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Well, you're an elf - I can see that much. So, you're obviously from the forest somewhere. All elves are."

"Uh, yes. I am from the forest somewhere." I tie some more knots. "How'd you get here?"

(I've sent you a PM :) )
"You mean... Besides the plague that's sweeping through this town and claiming everyone in its path?" she asked, and then her lips twitched up into a smirk. "I'm kidding. There's nothing in particular you need to know, but if you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to answer."

The woman refused to meet your gaze, instead staring at the string as you tied it. "I walked," she answered simply. She anxiously ran her hands down her skirt and muttered something under her breath, but you couldn't quite hear what she said.
