Cobalt put his hands under the lip of the thicc concrete and lifted, his face turning red with the effort. Grabbing a metal stick from the bundle of many on his back, he wedged it underneath, forming a kind of stony tent.

The sibs quickly finished the banana. Not very filling, but whatever-theyd had worse.

He sat under the tent and dug into his bag again, pulling out...a carrot? He wasn't sure, he was just hungry. He ate, grateful it was indeed a carrot.

The sun setting, Phoenix pulled out two pieces of metal and started trying to make a fire. Which usually took about half an hour.

Finished with his small meal, Cobalt stood up and left his tent, walking to a small bundle of concrete blocked interlocked with each other. Grabbing two of his metal poles, he practised his fighting skills. You never know when you have to save yourself...

The ifre was finally lighted. Phoenix stuffed the metal away and circled the area with some stones. The was no risk of spread though-there wasn't anything but the pieces of wood Peggi had gathered to burn and those wouldn't last past midnight anyway.

Cobalt yelled aggressively as he slammed the sticks into the pile, shaking dust from it. Pausing, he wiped his hand across his sweaty forehead and looked at the sky, which was beginning to grow dark.

Peggi shivered. "Sounds like someone is stil out there..."

"I'll deal with it later if you want. When it's light. And I'm not walking blinder then I already am."

Cobalt slung the packet of rods off his back, depositing the two with the rest. Tossing it inside the tent, he went inside as well and leaned against the side. He closed his eyes, ready to sleep.

Peggi curled up under the blanket and rested her head halfway o nthe pillow, halfway on Phoenix, just as she'd always done.

Phoe stayed up to watch the fire.
