Wraith followed, eyes fixed on his target and keeping even pace with her. Suddenly, he lunged forward, tackling her onto the rooftop and holding her down, ready to slit her throat if she tried anything. He said nothing, rather studied what he could see of her face for a moment. Something about her made him want to spare her. It was strange- he wasn't used to that kind of thing.

She didn't try anything, even she knew if she did she would die. But he was hesitating. Why is he hesitating? she thought, a bit confused. She stared up, dead into his eyes.

For a moment longer, he stared back. Then, without a single thought, stood and moved a safe distance away from her. By now his injury had almost completely mended itself. He blinked once. "Not worth it. Have a nice night." He muttered abruptly, turning to leave.

She hopped up, then without looking away from him, jumped off the building, landing silently in the street below and walking away.

Wraith watched her go, eyes narrowing. She didn't deserve death. Punishment, maybe, but not death. He could always tell...

She continued walking, still thinking. His employer is not going to be happy...but then again, none of them are... She looked around her and saw at least 3 people following her. I swear if they are after me I will flip.

As Wraith returned to his client, he frowned. "She's not worth the kill." He stated simply. This wasn't the first time he'd declined someone's contract. It happened quite often, and quite often he found himself being threatened by his unsatisfied clients.

She sighed, and turned to look at them but they were gone. Whatever. I didn't have time for them anyway. She continued walking.

Before long, Wraith had killed yet another person who, at one point, was a client. He was quick to look the body and leave, as always, and was quick to note that he, too, was being followed.

A couple minutes later, they were there again. She jumped on a roof and they were gone once more. She continued her walk on the rooftops, still being bothered a bit by the people.
