Primarily it centers around Greek and Atlantean gods. Though it honestly has a mixture through out a variety of mythos. I can say it does not really mention Roman gods at all.

As for the series...
Oh gawd it is. I have every book, including the spin off series featuring Nick.
This is how bad I love that series...I have the double bow and arrow on my left wrist, and Acheron's symbol on my right arm. Bad I know, but I love it. I am still hoping with fingers crossed that the movie and tv series they were talking about making comes true.
