Come on, people, don't any of you know how to find out the color of a Rare Speckled Mushroom?
(Hint: It has speckles.)

Nope! But I just looked at the past message and realized it said "at least one", meaning I could have more than one wrong. Could you at least tell me if purple is right?!

Evilowl, I'm gonna give you that one. The colors of a Rare Speckled Mushroom are red, blue, and white--however, people's monitors and screens vary. The Rare Speckled Mushroom image was drawn with quite a bit of shading on the white part, so it might very well appear tan to some players.
The image above is a link to Amarok's Sylestia Walkthrough (which is where I stole the image from).
Stevio (as he likes to be called) is ready to go home with you. His name comes from his parents' names. The word "skei" means "a screen," while "sweet leaf" is a common term for the stevia plant, which produces a sweet substance called "stevioside." To get the stevioside from the leaves, one needs a screen, so that seemed like a good name for the child of Skei and Sweet Leaf.
