My sister once asked me to help her defeat the elite four by letting her borrow my strongest pokemon because I had already beaten them.. so I sent her all my starter pokemon from each of my games and then she got bored later and without even trying to defeat the elite four she deleted her game.. with all my pokemon.. ;^;
Another time I saw a shiny ice-cream cone thing but thinking it was just what the female version looked like *it being pink and all instead of the normal blue* I killed it ;^;

I have a few. u ^u
When Silver was new, I trained my Typhlosion like no tomorrow and had him at lv 70 before most of my Pokemon reached 40. Classic case of starter favouritism when you go through the Kanto gyms, but OH WELL I LOVED HIM AND THAT'S WHAT MATTERS. One night, I started a new game just to see what fighting with a Totodile would be like and swore that I wouldn't save the game, but ended up falling asleep while playing. Dad came in to tuck me in and, with the best intentions, saved my game so I wouldn't lose my progress. When I woke up in the morning, I discovered that my precious Typhlosion was gone, and all I had was a Totodile. ; A; You can guess when HeartGold came out, my starter was Cyndaquil.
I had a shiny Bellossom in my Diamond. He was cute and adorable and so much better as a Bell than a Vile. Then I lost the cartridge, and I never saw him again.
When I was fishing for Feebas in Emerald, I ended up catching a shiny Carvanha before I even found a Feebas tile. The thing with Carvanha and Sharpedo is their attack is MUCH higher than their special attack, so when I looked at her nature, she was modest, which increases special attack and decreases attack. D:< I transferred her to my Platinum and there she stays, stuck with contests rather than battles. She's not even very good at contests, either.
On my quest for a shiny Braviary via Masuda, I made the mistake of storing all of my rejects so I could 'keep count of how many I went through'. Before I could get my shiny, my PC was almost entirely full of Rufflet. I've never seen so much fluff, not even in sappy fanfiction. :/
Also, back in gen 1, I was CONVINCED fighting against Pokemon types you were weak to would give you extra experience and make your Pokemon more resistant to that type. My poor Charizard took on every gym almost by himself to prove it, and he... did surprisingly well. He didn't fail, but I sure did. @_@

When I first got pokemon red, I didn't know how to switch pokemon around or access boxes.... I got to the elite four with a level 75 charizard and a smattering of level 20's. I was 9.

OH. I also though that "Start all over again" at the elite four meant I had to restart my whole game! So every time I wiped on the elite four I'd shut my gameboy off really fast thinking I was saving it from being reset. xD
