I was summoned by the train

Username: Orcastration

Character Name: Newt Marker

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Appearance:

Personality
A social wreck who would much rather disappear into his books then interact with people- at this point, his friends are literally just whoever decided to invade his life. He's not much of the life of the party, but if you can get past his initial overly-polite phase he's a bit of a snarker and will happily talk whatever history topic you'd like to discuss. His actual friends tend to be few because he keeps accidently burning bridges, though he does try (and he rememebrs things like birthdays or wht movie someone likes), but he's not into summer romances and his anxiety will 100 % keep him from a date but the amount of romance novels he consumes will surely make up for it! He's quite the animal lover though, and loves history. And rock music.

Background*
Nah screw it he's confused man XD

Ambition(s)*
Either get back home or find someone he knows, however slim that chance might be. He doesn't like talking to strangers he'd rather just follow his friends around or something. Wait, does he have friends?

Weapon/Tool of Choice*
If he has to chose, he'd pick a dagger. Easy to carry but generally effective.

Ability & Relic*
A sunstone necklace that acts as a mini light source

Writing Example
Two loaves of bread, some mixed veggies, a cass of soda, more microwave meals then he could count....
Newt sighed in releif as he mentoaly checked off everything on the grocery list he'r been given. He wasnMt a fan of going out alone to shop but since his siblings were busy and he'd rather not hear certisn younger siblings whining about having to follow theie grandfather to the store...
Oh well. It was time he did his part anyways. He readied his card to pay, and then-
Please wait for assistance.
Newt paled as a cheery voice behind him asked, "is the machine giving you trouble?"

Other
He likes to keep a pair of headphones so 1. People don't bother him and 2. To block out the world until necesary.

Yes it was definitely the train, and totally not the being held at gunpoint or copious bribery with the promise of character development!

Looking noice, accepted, shall start in some time :D

You wake up to saltwater filling your nose and mouth. And your eyes and ears. And just about everything else, really.

When you instinctively open your mouth to gasp for air, you're rewarded with a lovely mouthful of brine. For a few seconds, your head breaks the surface, before you're abruptly plunged back under. A few rounds of this later, and you come to the realization that you're bobbing up and down in what seems to be the open ocean.

Between rounds, you manage to blink the water from your eyes long enough to better make out your situation: you're indeed surrounded by water on all sides, choppy waves disrupting the surface and jostling you around. There's no land--or any sign of possible help--in sight. Far above your head, the sky is a stormy, overcast grey. The seawater has long since saturated your clothes, freezing cold, and your arms and legs are quickly turning numb.

Not far away, though, you suddenly catch sight of something else floating on the waves--an unidentified piece of debris, a broken plank, perhaps? Around you, you realize there's a few more, just out of reach. There's no telling if they'll be any help in staying afloat, but if you're going to even try, you should probably be quick. After all, it's only a matter of time before you freeze or grow too tired to keep your head above water--or something worse happens.

(I sure hope bro can swim or this is going to be a short RPG)

when it says (This does not mean that you have a "previous life".) does it mean our character literally has no past before they woke up or are we just not allowed to write anything about it or? im a little confused, sorry

Character Name: Raven Grim

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Appearance: Something like this?

Personality: She starts off as rude and more the "dark and mysterious type", but is just covering up for how weak she really is on the inside, and will be nicer and more cheerful as the storyline progresses. And she holds grudges for a long time, even if you think she isn't, she's still thinking of a way to get revenge when you least expect it.

Bio: I'm going to go with "just woke up" bc idk what to write lol

Ambition(s): idk

Weapon/Tool of Choice: throwing knives or swords

Ability & Relic: She carries a glowing blue gem with her everywhere that gives the holder the ability to seemingly disappear for as long as they can hold their breath for.

Writing Example:

(TRAINS! Trains are cool. And very dramatic.)

Username: Frostfal

Character Name: Lyllith Nightshade

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Apperance:
(Art is not mine, I can draw humans to save my life lol)

Personality: Reserved. She is not one to tell others her secrets, they are hers and hers alone. Humans amuse her and scare her, as they are much different then what she was taught to believe. She loves cats and will get excited and befriends others partially based on their opinion of cats. She isn't very talkitive, instead, she watches and gathers information.

Bio: Lillith woke up a few days ago, completly lost with a pounding headache. She remembers nothing about her past, except for a strange song that keeps ringing through her ears...

Ambitions: Try to navigate this new world and find out about her past, as well as to pet all the cats. Cats are the best

Weapon: A bow and a small quiver of ebony arrows

Ability and Relic: Lillith's relic allows her to obscure herself in a cloud of smoke. The relic is an earring, on which hangs a feather. The smoke affect does have a cooldown and only can be used once a day,

Writing Example:
He turned, a hint of a smile dancing on his lips. It was time. He turned toward the girl, his eyes shimmering.
"Are you ready,?"
He watched as she nodded slightly, biting her lip. She was scared, he could tell. He could always tell. He took her hand, watching the salty spray of the sea. The beach was his favorite place for this, and it was always so calm at this time of night. He watched the battered rocks for a second, hypnotized. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw her staring. He knew she would, they always stared before the end. He turned back toward her, smiling broadly. She hesitated, but took his hand, staring him in the eye. It was a bold move, something he had never seen before from her kind. He raised an eyebrow. She looked down, muttering, "So is this just it? Am I really..."
She paused, looking up at him with watery blue eyes. She took a deep breath, and whispered, "Dead?"

Other: I like cats

(...let's just pretend he can. 2 post rpg, let's go! new record! Also, im guessing those poor headphoens of his have yeeted off into nowhere and his glasses are a nightmare?)

Newt half-cough half-spits the water out- eww, gross, seawater. Never liked it, much too grimy for his tastes. He flounders around a bit in an attempt to remember how to swim, before giving up on that and making motions towards the nearest debris- maybe if he can get a few of those together, he could do something? A flimsy raft or "buoy" or something, maybe.

Something he read pings in his mind, and he tries to kick off his shoes- the less dragging him down ,the better. He's no athlete, its' a wonder he's even still alive if he's been bobbing in the ocean like an oversized floaty toy.

Your character doesn't have a past as far as you know (if that's what you meant by not being allowed to write anything about it?) They may or may not have one you don't know about yet, though :>

I also wanted to avoid having issues where character backstories don't make sense with the setting I had in mind, since at the moment a lot of the world info is unknown
