She smiles and picks up the black leather bound book. After flicking through at least six or seven pages she found what she is looking for and looks back up to you with a confused half smile.
"Hm, She didn't happen to be carrying a black chunk of wood decorated with gold bands, did she?"

I hesitate for a second, looking down at my companion curiously. Then finally making up my mind, I reach down and pet her softly with my sparked hands

You move closer, trying not to make much noise. You don't want to scare the small creature away... it flicks its tail, uncurling from the young tree flying awkwardly in your direction. You notice that its wings seem to be flapping oddly and you mange to reach out just in time to catch it before it starts falling. it curls tightly around your arm and stares at you questionably.
"Hydrangea...? Are you still out here?"
How do you respond?

Good luck with that, my wifi started failing last night. So I'm a little worried...
Weirdly it happily lets you pat it. It even shifts slightly closer. A ticking from above your head brings your attention to a clock. You could almost swear it hadn't been clicking before... Zoey appears in the door way, father distracting you.
"Hey, dinners ready... Oh! You've met the pups! I'm sorry if they gave you any trouble. I can get Zen to put them in his room if you'd like..."
Dinner's ready already? You knew for certain it'd only been a few minutes... Maybe pasta cooks really quickly? Still, you found it odd.
She wriggles away in horror and attempts to escape, ending up back on your shoulder. She hisses at you, then licks your hand apologetically. You decide maybe it's not best to touch your new companion with this new found power. She doesn't seem to like it at all.
She giggles manically eventually bringing her hands to her mouth in an attempt to stop herself. A wide smile still remains on her face as she begins talking again.
"That's what the last one said! Why are you all the same? I'm so board!"
She sighs deeply and rolls over onto the ground. She moves almost as if she is throwing a silent tantrum. You really are not sure what to do...
What are you going to do? Just remember she's dangerous!
