Piper, Laurel, and Sylver hurried down the hall.

Piper was freaking out. "We're gonna be late!" Her hair and eyes turned a shade of grey. Her skin turned pale.

"Relax," Laurel said. Her brown hair was in a perfect french braid, and it hung off her left shoulder. "We have, like, and hour to eat breakfast and then get to class. Also, reacting like that makes your powers act up!"

Piper laughed, her hair turning a sunny yellow and her eyes back to blue. Her skin returned back to it's original slightly tanned form.

"Hi everyone. Sleep well?" Erin asked as the group rushed to get breakfast. She was carrying Ceol in a large, gray satchel, it was a bit more convenient for rushed situations like this.
Not to mention that it went well with her uniform's silver skirt.

"Sylver was talking about eating bathbombs in her sleep. So, no, not really," Piper teased.

Piper laughed. Laurel just nodded. "Yeah, sleep was okay, I guess. My roommates are Lurr twins, and they spent all night giggling about some boy."

"Aw, that sucks. Our roommate is a Urana. She acts like she's so perfect," Piper said bitterly.

"Yeah, I guess." Piper said, frowning. "Her name is Coral Lorraine. Urana pureblood."

Laurel laughed. "You're an Argi pureblood."

"So?"

"Nothing. Nothing at all. Although I do wonder what happens when others hear the name Merriweather around these parts."

The group had arrived at a huge outdoor amphitheater. Next to it was rows of picnic tables under a floating block of earth. From the mud roof hung beautiful flowers that gave off a sweet aroma as they walked by. Students in different uniforms hurried about. Each huddle of friends mostly had the same type of group among them. They were definitely one of the most different ones, Piper thought.

"Hey, Merriweather!" Laurel snapped in her face. "Earth to Piper! Ms. Merriweather?"

Piper snapped out of her thoughts. "Huh, yeah-"

"A MERRIWEATHER?" A drawling and loud voice interrupted her. Piper spun to see a group of around six or seven boys and girls, all with white collared shirts and butter yellow skirts or pants. Argi.

The one who had spoken was a boy with artfully tousled blonde hair and grey eyes. He had successfully grabbed Piper, Laurel, Sylver, and Erin's attention. He spoke again. "I'm Xander Dritan." He bowed in an exaggerated manner.

Piper wasn't impressed. "Um hi. I'm Piper Merriweather."

"Yes, I know." She frowned at that. "We were just here to ask you to sit with us- the other pureblood Argi."

"Oh, no, maybe another time? I'm sitting with my friends today..." Piper shot him a smile and grabbed her friends' hands and hurried away.

In a sudden rush of alertness, I realised the time, and let out an half-suppressed yell of surprise.

"G-guys, we're really late for breakfast," I stuttered, staring at my watch in disbelief. Where did the time go? I could have sworn we had much longer than that! My blood ran cold. The girls will have been waiting for us to turn up, and we haven't even started making our way there! I glanced up at Kazar, then my gaze switched to Rhys. "We need to go." Quickly, I stood, re-adjusting the collar of my jacket with somewhat shaking hands, and I began to make my way over to the door. Gervasius clung onto my shoulder, anticipating what I was going to do.

At Rick's startled outcry, I too jumped up from where I was sat on the bed. Airel bounded down, still in a somewhat dreamy state, and followed at my heels as I followed Rick to the door. "Darn it," I mumbled under my breath, "we should have paid more attention."

"Oh come on, it's just a day!"

Piper froze, turning to see Xander. Her face turned red. She walked right up to him, poking him on the neck with her nail. "Why the hell would I want to sit with you people?"

He laughed, looking down t her (she was only up to his shoulder). "Our parents new each other, Merriweather. Haven't you heard of the Argi families sticking together?"

"It's Piper."

"Okay, Merriweath-"

With a growl, she jumped at him, prepared to tackle when she realized Laurel was holding her back. She looked nervously at the shocked Xander. "Not sorry, Mister what's-your-name, but Piper's in a bad mood this morning. She'll sit with us." Laurel turned harshly, and for good measure, 'accidentally' tripped Xander.

As the two got back to the group, Laurel turned to her. "I'm never using your pureblood last name again!"
