"I dunno. There's an orange one that always comes with the group- they go up to the surface in this area once, twice a year."

There is, indeed, an orange one among the group- orange and brown, with odd 'branches' like some of their kind have which are purple and yellow. The others are brown and bright red, respectively. The brown one is also weirdly small, though to be fair the orange one is unusually tall so it also just makes the brown one look especially little. None of the three are facing the house.

"You've definitely been around here for a while." Nethimir said sarcastically, staring at the three seahorses with slight curiosity.

Seahorses are quite a rare sight in general. They used not to be, but that was a long time ago- a little over 22 years at this point. Plus, they make active efforts to avoid non-seahorses to begin with. Not so rare she's never seen them before, but the amount she's seen before are definitely in the single digits. Though, these three do seem to line up with the ones she's seen, as all three are wearing intricate, seemingly personalized masks.

Nethimir watched the three, wanting to see what they would do. She didn't care much about mers she's seen in the past (except, obviously, others of her kind), but was interested enough to observe the actions of said mers.

The orange one is visibly the oldest. Probably around their 40's or so, while the others look like they're probably 20 and 10 respectively. The little one is definitely young, and is the only one who seems to be interested in their surroundings. The small one soon notices the house, and stares at it.

Nethimir noticed the child staring, but payed no mind to it, staring directly back at them with the same glare as usual.

Like the others, the kid is wearing a mask. It's hard to say if it's a unique feature or not, as it's not like she's seen a lot of seahorse masks, but the kid's mask shows half their face. She can't really see their face, since they're far off, but it's mildly interesting considering all other masks she's seen have covered the entire face. The group is too far away to see if either other seahorse has interesting patterns on their masks.

Nethimir inspected the group carefully, trying to make out as many details as possible.

The mask of the oldest one seems to be covering one eye, which is a little unusual. From what little she's seen, masks with non-eye shaped eye-holes aren't rare at all, but it's hard to tell if there even is an eye-hole for their left eye. The red one's mask is pretty typical for a mask, at least based on the few she's seen over the years, but it seems to have symmetrical patterns on both sides, which isn't super common for masks. The trio is too far away to make out any specific details, though.

"I think I've seen the red one before." Nila pipes up again. "Only like once though. The orange one always comes, but I'm pretty sure I've seen that red one once before."

"Do you think their family or something? Maybe visiting someone that's in this area." Nethimir spoke, looking over at Nila.
