Alright, should this rp be about our characters again? I would like to use the 3 Octalia again, and maybe as their actual species.

We can do the octalia again, but I won't be using the same characters. If I use Mava, i think I'll have her as her original idea instead.

Injuries: Due to using too much magic when fighting the minigod, She is missing one of her arms, and one of her eyes is supposedly blind and is stuck in a permanent glare.

Personality: Mucku, as a consequence of losing her memory, is a very bubbly and energetic person. Without knowing what really happened on the day she lost her memories, she happily goes along knowing that if she were to ask her friends what happened it would only bring up bad memories. Instead, Mucku likes to look to the future, and for opportunities for fun, and evil witchery!
Sadly, after losing her two friends, she tries to cover her sadness with the same personality from before, but she will usually doze off when talking to people.

Backstory:
The Octalia are a race of mostly female Mer-folk, based on Octopi. Queen Nethimir, Mono, and Mucku are the last survivors of this race, which was capable of storing dark magic within their hearts. This magic can be used for fighting, healing, and bearing children. However, excessive use of magic can have grave consequences, costing Nethimir her arm, Mono her voice, and Mucku her memories.

The other members of the Octalia were destroyed by a minigod of incredible size. It has a turtle-like shell but is misshapen and monstrous. Its back is covered in thousands of towering pipes, its body is bigger than any castle, longer than the hills, and taller than the mountains. And its face is covered in glowing red eyes.

A bit after the events of the first attack, All three of them were separated by the minigod once more, causing them to believe one another dead.

Of course! These three are all antagonists, but they have a lot of story behind them. (They appear in season 2 btw)

Personality: Unpredictable and easy to anger. They will be calm generally, but won't hesitate to lash out if even annoyed. But, if someone manages to avoid irritating them, they will be mostly agreeable and quite relaxed. They don't like to be bothered, and prefer to be alone.

Children: Whether or not they're biologically related is uncertain, but they consider other sphinxes their 'daughters'.
Parents: Unknown
Siblings: They have mentioned sisters, but their sisters are, reportedly, deceased.
Other: They live in a nearby desert, which is fairly large (but by far not the largest)
Appearance: They are made purely from some sort of golden sand, which is easily discernable from the rest of the desert, as no other sand looks like flecks of gold. They can use sand from the desert (or other sources, but they currently only have access to the desert sand), and while it does become part of their being it'll stay its original color. It's very common for them to do this, and the gold sand will always be around or near the face in a somewhat tortiseshell pattern. In theory, they could use all the sand in the desert as part of their being, but nobody has seen them do this. While they can separate themselves form sand entirely, they prefer not to, instead simply only forming their head and torso.
Powers (bc it's necessary): They, at least in theory, can make any sand a part of their body. There are few limitations to how they move this sand, with them just not being able to stretch grains very far apart (~2 inches) before their magic can't control it. They can stretch these grains in any direction, including against gravity, which is how they give themselves a form to speak to other beings through. The golden sand seems to 'host' the rest, with, on the few occasions they leave the desert, them being made only of the gold sand and nothing else. They must be within close range of sand to make it part of their being, or they'll lose their magic over it. This golden sand seems to 'remember' what happens to it, with injuries staying with their form until they find a sandy area, at which point any wounds they may have will reverse themselves. Water can disperse any non-golden sand, as it getting wet seems to make it too heavy for Mava to use.





Though it's quite difficult to speak to Mava without risking getting attacked, there's enough known about them to glean quite a bit of information about their past. They seem to have been human at some point, but they don't consider themselves to be human, or to have used to be human. How they became what they are is unclear, as they think they've always been this way, but they have mentioned memories of 'becoming one with the sand'. Despite being made from sand, they need to hunt, which, between that and their temper, hasn't given them that great of a reputation. Most creatures are known to vanish if they enter their desert, and when Mava is truly hungry, she'll even stretch the desert outwards to grab prey.
They're very vague about it, but the desert they reside in isn't thought of as their home. According to them, they used to live in a desert that was significantly bigger. How or why they ended up in their current desert, when they clearly didn't want to leave their old one, is unknown.
In the past, they've occasionally helped others. Not without a price of course -always in the form of food-, but they'll willingly do it.




Kinda a long one, but old Mava's been being concepted for a while and I'm excited to finally use her :)
