I sigh, "How can I know to trust you when you have a gun pointed at me?" I ask, "We just came for some supplies before we went along our way..." I say, leaving the decision to show themselves to my companions. "I see no reason for you to be threatening us when we've done nothing to deserve the action. We're all humans here." I say, trying to convince the men to just leave us be. "I'm not asking you to leave, just to lower you guns as well. After all, if we meant you harm, wouldn't it have been better to do so when you didn't realize we were here? Instead we made our presence known and even informed you of the condition outside." Suddenly I found myself wondering if I was going to get myself killed... Did I really have enough people skills to convince these men to leave us be while we do the same? I wondered what my companions were going to do...

I noticed that when the other men said "buddy", they probably thought that we were only a party of 2. I eyed Cerb in another place, and perhaps with our arsenal, we could cover more ground against them. But they already suspected that we couldn't be trusted.

Slowly slipping out of my bag, keeping it in the shadows, I stood up. "Fine, have it your way," I said, loudly enough for them to hear, but not enough for the horde to hear outside. I showed them that I held my rifle down, keeping it on hand but nowhere near the trigger. "But you dare shoot those guns, you're gonna ring up the horde out there and you won't do yourselves any good. So calm down, we want to live as much as you do."

I glared at them, but kept to myself. I seriously didn't want to draw anymore trouble. I felt like one wrong move could end us all. But, Cerberus, if she stayed hidden, could dispatch some without being heard, which was our best shot. If me and Talyn fought back with guns or punches, attention would be drawn, and we'd all go down.

...It was a bit comforting that I could blame these stupid men for ending us all if they chose to shoot us, really. On their heads, and all...

I stare slightly aggravated at the men. I watch as flute shows herself. I decide to stay hidden and watch what happen next. I have my bow and arrow trained on the man in case things start to head in a bad direction.
