"Well, for starters, I know you an only mega evolve one Pokemon per battle, and, I happen to be a formidable opponent" she said. "Just check out this tough guy" she said, sending out a Pokemon. "Tough guy! Tough guy!" It echoed. The chatot that was just sent out sat on the woman's shoulder, nuzzling her head. "I know that a trainer is supposed to carry 6 Pokemon at a time, but I'd say it's more practical to keep a lot of my babies with me" she said.

"A Chatot? Seriously?" Mio said, Unimpressed. "And my dad has the Mega-Gyarados, my mom has the Mega-Houndoom. She's an Elite Four Member for Kalos, you dolt!" Mio said, thoroughly annoyed.
A crashing noise was heard from outside the doors, and a moment later, Mio's parents ran in.
"Mienshao, use Karate Chop on those bars!" Lysandre commanded. He was a tall, young man who's beard and hair made him look slightly like a lion. Malva, Mio's mother, tossed Mio her pokeballs. Lucario walked through the hole in the bars that Mienshao made.
"I told them so! I told them I'd get out!" Mio said, her eyes blazing in fury. "But they didn't listen. Stupid, stupid, people!"

"Mr. Lysandre, I'm sure we can settle this by talking this out, though I'm sure that's not how you do things, so" she said, returning her chatot. She sent out a mismagius "I suppose you all can just perish" the woman said. The ghost type sang a meloncholy song, and the woman pulled something off of her ears. "My missy darling sang a special song for you all, she sings to people and Pokemon alike!" She said, swooning over the mismagius. "Now, Stara, Em, Dashi, lets show them not to mess with a champion" she said, calling out three Pokemon, a Staraptor, Empoleon, and Rapidash. The rapidash used a strong flamethrower on Luca, and the staraptor used tailwind, before using aerial ace on the mienshao. "Still willing to negotiate though" she said

"I hate to break it to you, but Luca's deaf. He can't hear Perish Song!" Mio said, laughing. "And I can't be affected. I'm not human! Have you ever wondered what Mio stands for? Molecular Instigated Organism. I was made in a lab, and I'm not able to be affected with your pitiful Chatot's music. And Mom and Dad are always prepared for anything. So is Luca."
Lysandre, Malva, and Luca took cotton out of their ears. They tossed out two pokeballs.
"Go Houndoom!" Malva yelled.
"Go Gyarados!" Lysandre said.
"Mega-Evolve!" Lysandre, Mio, and Malva commanded.
A blinding light emerged from their Keystones, connecting with their pokemon. When the light faded, a red Mega-Gyarados, a Mega-Houndoom, and a Mega-Evolved Lucario faced the woman.
"Dragon Tail!" Lysandre commanded.
"Blast Burn!" Malva cried.
"Thunderbolt!" Mio yelled.
Dragontail hit Rapidash, Blast Burn hit Staraptor, and Thunderbolt hit Empoleon, each attack landed a direct hit.

The woman fixed her hair. "Well, perish song has more than one PP" She said, calling her mismagius back out, singing again before the others could react. "And since you aren't human, I suppose there are other methods of disposing of you." She said, taking the soundblockers out of her ears again. Rapidash was sent back to her ball. Out of nowhere, a garchomo shot out of the ground, hitting the mega houndoom straight on. "I had more guards prepared, I was expecting you guys to burst in from outside honestly." She admitted, before realizing something. "Quick question, if your lucario is deaf, how does it hear your commands?" She asked curious.

"I have a unexplained bond with all pokemon. I taught Luca to understand my commands by my aura and eye contact." Mio said. "In return, he, and my other pokemon, taught me pokemon attacks. Like this one!" Mio said, inhaling. She exhaled, and dark smoke emerged from her mouth, clouding the woman's vision.
"C'mon Mom and Dad! Okay Luca, make an aura shroud!"
The threesome and Luca vanished in a vortex of purple light.

The trio reappeared in Snowpoint City.
"Of all the places in Sinnoh, you had to go somewhere cold?" Malva asked shivering.
"Sorry Mom. Luca seemed to think this place was the safest. I don't control where we go." Mio said shrugging. Luca had been taught by a young ninja named Sanpei to create shrouds that could transport people and pokemon.

Platinia always wore contacts, so the smoke was easy to see through. "Weaville, darling, write a message for me" she requested by of her weaville. Her Pokmon nodded, running outside. "Now, Lassie, you search snowpoint, Houndy, outside of Veilstone, Stary, search the skies, and Sharpy, you search the seas, now, alert me if you find anything, I'll send out a note to my underlings" she said, sending out some Pokmon "oh, Wally, since Sharon can't search the cold waters, you go there" she told her walrein. "I have a show I don't want to miss, let's go chatler, we can't be missing Leo's performances, in so proud of him" Platinia cooed, her chatot starting to carry her to hearthome.

"Hey Kai, can we go back to hearthome, Leo is still preforming, and I don't want to miss it" Sylver asked her friend, well, more like telling him, the duo made their way back to hearthome, as they walked into the contest hall, they noticed a large crowd standing around a woman. Sylver instantly knew who was there. "Hey, what's the big fuss over there?" Kay asked, starting to walk over. Sylver grabbed his arm, dragging him into the stands to watch the show "nothing that concerns you! I'm sure it's nothing" she said unconvincingly. The two sat down, and shortly after the doors burst open. Sylver turned away, motioning for Kai to be quiet. "Hey Sylver, what's-" he started saying before the popular woman turned, hearing that name "did you say Sylver? Is that? Oh my gosh, it is! Oh sweetie, how is your adventure going?!" She said excitedly, sitting next to her and hugging her. "Did you come to watch your brother? You're such a good sister!" She squealed happily. "Hi mom..." Sylver groaned, trying to pull herself away from her crushing mother.

The three walked through the cold snow that covered the streets like a blanket.
After they arrived at the warm pokemon center, Lysandre and Malva said goodbye to their daughter.
After her parents left, Mio sent out all her pokemon.
A little protection never hurt anyone, right? she thought.
"Lucario?" Luca asked, putting his paw on her arm. He sensed she was troubled.
"It's okay... But what if that woman catches up to me?" she asked.
"Cam-Camerupt!" Maximus said calmly.
"Cro-Cro-Crobat!" Rose said, flapping her pink wings to show her willingness to fight to the very end.
"Mightyena!!!!" Argos said, chasing his tail happily.
"You really would do that for me?" Mio asked, feeling touched.
"Camerupt." Maximus said, nodding.

Ashley adjusted the hat onto her head. "Righto," she said, sliding down into the tunnel. Counting her pokeballs, she beckoned Tonni to follow. "Ok, I have Konnyr's Honchcrow, Dusty, and Slick, and you have Tropi, Gible, and Snowrunt. That's six pokemon, a full team, between us. I have potions and revives to spare but we need to stay low profile and avoid battles as much as possible. Remember: We go in, get Quaggy, and get out,"
