The other officer appears to confiscated a sword from the other girl.

"O-oh, um, w-where are you t-taking me? T-to jail?" I ask. Even if I did go to jail, it would be a place without shadow creatures (maybe) and shelter, and food. So, it would be better than running away from shadow creatures.

I still couldn't stop myself from shaking.

The officers bring out a girl about your age from a nearby shop. She seems very scared.

"It depends on how the interrogation goes. Do well and we will release you, otherwise, well, you're going to jail for having a weapon without a permit."

(Shall we just wait for Scout to do something?)

"O-okay. How d-do I g-get a perm-permit?" I ask, thinking about maybe, after all this, fetching my bow and registering it.

(Sure. Is it weird that I keep thinking the officer looks like Chief Burns?)

(No. If it were a firearm, you'd have to get a FOID card before registering it. But it's not a firearm...)

"How do I reg-register a weapon?" I ask. I wanted to know, honestly, so I can grab my bow.

"There is a form you can fill out at the police station."

(hmm. If there is, I haven't heard of it. I heard that if you had a drone, you have to register it.)

"Oh, okay. T-thanks." I say. "Do you h-have to bring the weapon th-there or just h-have a picture of it?"
