It's lava; it's freaking hot. You got within 100 meters of it, and you feel like you're going to melt into a puddle of stuff.

Iist hesitantly lowered her hands. "So that's what it was..." She smiled meekly. "A friend and I tried were exploring the mountainside and saw those doors. We tried opening them, thinking it was some kind of puzzle. Then when we opened the door..." Iist's face twinged with realistic worry for Focus and Uje, though she knew she couldn't fully disclose the details. "My friend went in first, but I haven't seen her since I got here. I need to find her." She already started thinking of excuses for what her companions looked like, but chances were that dragons and deer were uncommon in the kingdom. She guessed that they're in the castle, kept in wait by Prince Ogon, hopefully unharmed as he implied.
