Ash still played it cool. "Go ahead. Call them." The worst situation was that he would be kicked out of the hospital. He only came to see the condition of his victims, anyway.

The baffled nurse watched as Mateo tapped the screen and the phone started dialing the Marker household. When it was answered the voice of a very loud girl started screeching through the speakers.
"Mateo! I've called you five times in the last hour and you denied all my calls! You missed Nicotes derby race too! Hes piping mad right now st you for that. Newt didnt time him and even though he and Ari know they mean d he judges think he came in a millisecond behind-"
Mateo facepalmed as the girl continued. "Oh and Grandfsthers sending Al with a hot dinner for you and Meinke and says that if you're staying the night then he'll send something comfortable to sleep on." The girl had obviously calmed down.
"Yeha yeah great, sure, thanks Nani." Mateo said. "Can you put me through to your granddad?"
"Say please."
"Pleaee."
"Now pay me forty bucks."
"What,? No way. I'm going broke over here already."
"You owe me forty bucks. I double checked. And that's without interest."
"Whatever." Mateo ended the call. "I hope that was satisfying enough proof becuase I'm not paying up my life savings. Now can this creep get kicked out fo here?"
THe nurse looked at Ash. "Sir, please leave immediately. You are not direct fmaily or the guardians of these boys."

Mateo was busy trying to get Meinke to calm down enough hfor the kid to sepeak properly.
He texted Seth. Some random dude showed up and scared my brother. It was weird.
