Rose failing to hold it for long puts it down then says to the book. Can you identify what metal it is? One thought that came to her mind was this has to be on purpose. almost like some one was trying to smooth it with something like sandpaper.

There's a whirring noise and suddenly you're standing in a quaint little shop, nothing much more than a few items on wooden shelves and a checkout counter.
"As a potential hazard of exploring, you might end up with an enchantment or a curse! Enchantments are usually helpful buffs, while curses are usually quite the opposite. And then there are those special enchantments, which are really quite terrible... Anyways, most of these are caused by Avia, but there are other circumstances where you might acquire one of these, usually with a time limit. You'll just have to find out yourself!"

Effervescence - Sunstream - 2 - Common
Causes the affected to instantly feel energized and alert, and remains throughout the entire duration of the enchantment. However, it only gives the affected the illusion of this energy, and so once the enchantment subsides, the affected will feel just exhausted as before, if not more, as a result of their exertions.

Seems to be something very similar to silver, it's a little bit different but I can't really tell much more than that.
