As he eats I take the first aid out from my bag. I see his wing is very cut up so I wrap it in gauze pads.

He jumps back and growls at your sudden movement, causing him to retreat deeper into the forest

I scramble to pick up everything and stuff it into my pack, then I follow the sounds of crunching leaves farther into the forest... slowly
