Shell sneezed as dust went up her snout. "Well the dragons before me were assigned this spot, so I was kinda raised here guarding the emerald, the identity of the one who assigned is the M.E itself. Or the fact that a Robo-armed ,fat faced ,chubby, red mustached, egg dude is after it." she flicked her tail crossly. "Besides, I don't care if there's a coastline. It's a test of strength too. The whole boiling water thing. It's to see if the crest's real, and if you're as tough as a real Guardian should be."

"Eh I trust issues I've been betrayed and hunted for my powers and all that I the others have been helping me." Eclipse sighs and looks at Tails "I am the last of my kind and have been adopted by the demon race so I'm a demon but my race the well we never had a offical name but well they are all dead I am the last one but I have recemtly created a new one of my kind she..my little sister is somewere we both can't be together as of how powerful we are."

"Oh really?" Knuckles said. "'Cause we found all seven couple months back, so yeah. Probably the fact that the human you described so perfectly is after it,"
He walked over to a plant a couple paces away and proceeded to brush off some of the leafs.

"Ouch," Tails said. "Knux was-- is the same way. He's the last known living echidna, there may be more but we all seriously doubt it. Betrayed? Yeah, he was betrayed multiple times. When we first meet him-- well, just ask Sonic any day. I guess you could say he has trust issues," Tails continued, not jumping into the whole story. "We've all known one of those things, betrayal, loneliness, thinking yourself as dangerous, we can all relate. None of us remember having parents either. We don't feel too bad about it though, we have friends and adventures, and the good stuff just blots out the bad stuff, you know?"

"We are not dangerouse my kind are hunted down for our power and well ability to be like living reactors. Its to dangerous for me and my little sister to be together as the thing that destroyed my kind is still alive. 2 of us together are easy to find but apart we can't be found. Also that monster Is looking for me and dosen't even know that red exists. Also my parents hated me and threw me out my older brother then took care of me till that monster attacked he gave his life to save me." Eclipse growls angrily.

Tails looked concerned and a little offended. "I never said-- look, I like you like an old friend," he said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "If you need to tell me something, anything, I'll listen, ok? It's getting late, I have to go, but I'll try to come back tomorrow, alright?"

Eclipse nods "Um sorry if I uh offended you you look a little offended but yeah you can come over whenever you want but no knuckles until I trust him not to attack anyone who lives here." Eclipse thinks for a minute then adds "also if anything happens and you all need a place to hide your all welcome here yes even knuckles but only in emergency.My team/family will fight if someone threatens this planet and/or when we are provoked we do not want to be cought up in alot of fights. We are more set on balance not one side over the other though no world domination for us. Me and my crew will deal with more petty crimes and all so you heros can keep doing your thing." Eclipse says completely serious "Also I believe in second chances to a certain extent like If eegman says he will stop being evil....yeah not gonna belive that." She giggles a bit.

The dragon lashed her ruby studded tail. Wisps of steam curled around her snout. "Well aren't you just a know it all?" she hissed flicking her forked tongue in and out. "Good luck trying to get of this island." she snorted and gestured to the distance where a ferry boat was leaving port. The last flying ship as well. No way of but to swim all the way there. "Plus I didn't mean to say 'assigned' what I meant was literally swear an oath or heed to the calling whatever." she hissed spreading her pearl studded wings and flapped them sending a shower of grit of the edge with a powerful gust and hovered there deciding whether she should escort him offf the island or what.

Tails laughed himself. "the stories I could tell," he smiled broadly. "Thanks," He got up to leave.
