I want to keep *some* of the lighter colors to add contrast, but I toned some of them down a bit :)

Um it's not that I'm ungrateful for your advice but I don't think I'm going to take it, sorry.

1: yes it's for the plants like the palm trees or grass an oasis typically has. I felt like the green really worked well with the design.


2: I can't really "add more green" to the design because the traits are all like display traits and both the female and male use the same colour pallet.

3: basically the same, the cream kinda wasn't suppose to stand out. It was just the colour base of yellow I used, the eye colour is a yellow and that affects some of the genes and mutations used so the male does have cream it's just covered up by the genes.



I could tweak the design for the Aeridini and add a bit more green but it wasn't really suppose to stand out. The vulnyx could have more cream of I used different display traits so there isn't really much to change.

For the Desert Oasis I would suggest making the yellow a more sandy color. Right now it makes me think of cantaloupe skins for some reason? Otherwise I think it's great!

The Aeri's are gorgeous! I love the design and I think its very accurate! My suggestion would be to deepen the That tanish color that appears so prominently on the male.

Rose Green Tea Lemonade Vul, A mouthful but My favorite of the three! My only suggestion would be to see if deepening the colors makes it look better. And maybe shortening the name some. Otherwise I love it!

I'd like some critiques on my summer fest designs, so that's why I'd join...would I be able to post a link to the thread with my designs in it?

Pad Thai is such a fun colorful dish, and I like the general coloring. I do find that not all the colors don't hold their own in this design, so where you do use higher contrast colors it feels a little jarring. Some subtle tonal changes might help this?

I love the base colors of this design, but perhaps move C1 from a true black to more of a purple tone? Changing the G1 to a orange tone will add more contrast than currently exists in that slot, and would tie in nicely with the G3. Moving the yellow of the G3 towards an oranger hue would warm up the design and compliment the purples well without overpowering the design quite as much.

Reminds me a bit of an Easter Basket. Very pretty variety of colors, you manage to make them work together very well. The G3 does look a bit odd except in a couple traits because of how dark it is. Perhaps switch the G1 with the G3 and differentiate it from the eye color a little bit?

Daisy Bulbori
Nice bright colors, though daisy isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I see it (cotton candy and children running around at a circus or fair). The G1 isn't very visible in this design, it might be fun to play around with the yellows there and explore the varied hues of the daisy's center - or even go with a darker base and pull out some bright off-whites. The splashes of pink remind me a bit of a desert star daisy, could maybe lean into that with a slightly purpler hue.

My suggestions are likely a little far off base considering your current design.
