It was sunrise by the time they both arrived. Wraith glanced over at her, then down the road. "We have a long way ahead of us. You've got everything you need?"

She nodded.

"Good. Let's go." Wraith muttered, starting down the road.

she followed, a little behind him.

As Wraith walked, his shadow began to squirm and move unnaturally- almost as if there was something pulling at it without moving the man himself. He didn't seem to notice this, and only kept walking.

She noticed this, found it rather odd but said nothing. She'd read somewhere of a species that things like this happened, but couldn't remember.

Eventually, once they were away from the town, Wraith paused to listen. It wasn't that he'd heard someone or something, but rather that listening to his surroundings batter helped him grasp his environment. He continued without speaking, occasionally veering to one side of the road or another to stoop to examine a bush or to look at tracks made by the local wildlife. His ears were piqued, though, in case someone was coming. One never knew what would happen in this line of work.

She probably wouldn't care if someone else was there, she'd probably just kill them. However, she had put her senses on alert, just in-case.

Wraith frowned a little as he walked. The voice ringinin his head kept bothering him, and he was being put in a terrible mood.

She continued walking, staring at the ground. She wasn't looking for anything in particular, but she found the ground more interesting than everything else.
