(The hand is magical too?!!)
Ivan stood in the Trader's Guild Hall, looking around. It had a pleasant, if not busy atmosphere. He walked over to the Guild Quest Giver. "Privet." he said. "Do you have any quests for me?"

(Only the narrator can be ;3; Only England gets magical wand!)
He looked up, "Easy, intermediate, hard, related to this time zone or general?"

"Uh... Hard, I guess. If I can complete a hard task, the lower level tasks will be easy. I guess general also." Ivan said.

"Lets see" he coughed, "We need someone to go down to the ottoman Empire to pick up some rat tails for the Tzars dog. That will be a prepay of 100,000 and another 300,000 on completion. You will need to pick up 10,000 rat tails."

He gave a nod and handed you the pouch of gold, "Pick it up from the market keeper"
The market keeper was selling food, beverages and other things for trading - for provisions for sailing, you'd need to talk to the Port Official. That was what Vera had said.
I ask how much food supplies for a long time at sea would be, i'd rather have to much food then too little.
