"This is mutiny, da?" Ivan said. He didn't seem fazed. "If you throw me overboard, could I get a boat? Or a flotation device?"

You didn't buy any life savers, you'd need to give up everything you owned and use the magical revive button to be back at St Petersburg, you'd still keep your ship magically though. Just no sailors or inventory.
