~ Holiday Carol ~
Alrighty! Sorry for pushing the end date of this back a bit but I wanted to see if anyone else wished to enter in this. I enjoyed going through all of your carols, they were all AMAZING! Thank all of you very much for participating in this festival! I am going to be closing it up very soon so if there is anything else you would like to invest in then please do so! Now, without further ado, the winner!

Snow in the air!
Gather round,
Old, new and young.
We're all here for a story,
of renewed Christmas cheer,
So settle down and take a rest
As rhythm courses like a test.
There was a man
Who once had none
His heart was cold
Like there was no sun
When asked 'bout joy
He sent them packing
Nobody knew
That he once slew
His own joy
Through his own boy
Christmas came;
He still sat lame.
Dead like crisp cold mornings
Christmas to him;
A time of mourning.
Oh joy, how nobody knew
But one day
He got the sway
And heard the merry songs.
It's been to long
Since he last smiled
And like a child,
He swept right in
With a bright grin
His sorrow now gone
And chocolate was drawn
For everyone in festivities
How great christmas is!

All sorrows disappear!

Your carol was BEAUTIFUL! I really enjoyed the sad twist to this take. I have always loved Christmas stories that brought forth a sad twist to them. It always made them feel more surreal and something that could draw you in more than the happy sided cheer that most carols present. This was an amazing carol, beautiful work!
