Despite my dismissal of what had happened, Gervasius still seemed fairly mad at me.

What might be only little to you is a lot more for me, I'll let you know! So that 'one thing' was quite a bit! I sighed, my face beginning to flush red as he continued to embarrassingly lecture me. Perhaps someone should turn you into a caterpillar, and then you can experience it yourself! He shook his head, attempting to fold his stubby arms. I only hatched today, and I swear I have more sense than you who has been on this Earth for 15 years!

Eager to change the subject and unable to really respond to that one, I turned my head to look at the others.

"Y-yeah, I agree. We should start finding this place," I said, looking over at Piper. My sudden disinterest in what Gervasius was saying only fanned the flame of his rage.

Hey! Aren't you going to say anything to that? Fed up, I glanced down at him.

"If you don't like it, then grow your wings faster," I retorted, half-mumbling my words. "To give you what you want, I have to basically stand still, and then you'll get mad at me for going nowhere." Gervasius went silent, blinking at me in a rather offended manner.

Piper laughed, and without warning, sprinted across the grass. Fifteen feet away, she yelled, "Race you there!"

Students turned in surprise to see the peppy brunette race across the grass. Also surprised, Solace barely had time to hold on as the girl who held him on her shoulder took of.

PIPER! I SWEAR TO GOD-

"Oh, calm down. You act like an old man," she teased, stopping to look at her group few hundred feet away from her. "COME ON YOU GUYS!"

Laurel face-palmed as she saw the Argi mage run. "Oh, my, Piper."

Like I said, Velvet cut in, Sugar high.

Sylver gave the young lunemara a few quick pets before bolting after Piper, hey Ryori dashing by her side with ease.

"I really don't feel like running" Rhys said as he stood next to rick "wanna just walk?" He asked, looking over to the girls.

"C'mon Erin, let's go!" Laurel ran after the other two girls.

"I don't think that running is what you should do when you have a delicate an' somewhat fragile hurdy-gurdy strapped to you," Erin said with a bit of sarcasm in her accent as she speed-walked to the others.

I wasn't particularly keen on running myself, and, as I was not in the mood to really want to have to deal with any more of Gervasius' complaints, I decided that I would just walk. Had it been any other time, I would not have minded, in fact, possibly even enjoyed running after them.

Instead, I kept a quick pace to somewhat keep up, so that they weren't entirely out of sight. Gervasius remained silent for once, also watching, and, even in some cases, pointing out which direction he had seen them head in, despite me already knowing. At least he's trying to be helpful.

"You all took so long," Piper said, flicking her wavy hair over her shoulder. "I checked the school map-" she held up her phone. "-and I'm right, the buffet's underground. We need to eat dinner quickly and then get some sleep, lessons start tomorrow."

"Yes! Hawaiian an' mushroom pizza here we come!" Erin exclaimed as she strode to the others. She wasn't even out of breath- due to her many years of singing, Erin had very strong lungs.
