He was spitting and hissing everywhere, fur bristling. He managed to tug it out before you got there, stepping onto a bramble. He gave a growl and twisted to face you, thorn in his paw. He dropped the trush and began licking it furiously.

I frown and walk up to him "You alright?" I ask as I carefully brush away the bramble tendril he stepped in so it doesn't happen again.

"No" he snapped back, sitting down. He seemed very uncomfortable as he tore out the thorn and spat it out, making his paw bleed badly, "There. Fine he padded past you grumpily, but he was no longer snarling, hissing etc.

I look at him exasperated and quickly grab my finch, mouse and his thrush then run to catch up with him.

It couldn't all fit in your mouth, you'd have to come back for the thrush. he looked over his shoulder, saw you struggling, smirked and picked it up before padding away towards camp.

I let him lead and follow, feeling a little proud at my Finch, it was my first bird after all!

Would you like a hunting level? Once you were back in camp, Pantherpaw dropped his bird on the pile and padded off, drawing his paw over his nose as he went and leaving blood smears. He headed behind the apprentice den.

(yes please!!) I drop my prey on the pile too, then head for the apprentice's den to get some rest, as I reach the entrance I call out to him "You should get that paw checked out." then slip in too my nest.
