I take out my pack of candy and gently toss one of the pieces to the creature, before going back to paying attention to the lagoon. I though it best to let it come to me rather than the other way around and getting attacked.

The creature steps out into the light.

It cautiously sniffs the candy. With a growl, it snaps the candy in its feline jaws and bounds away, into the bushes.
