I fly out of reach and lead it away from the rest

I blush fiercely, my eyes darting away as a small, embarrassed smile works its way onto my face. I let out a tiny laugh, mentally beating myself up for acting like an idiot (Stupid! What sane person tells someone they just met that they're scary! And he thinks I'm pretty, too? That just makes it worse!).
I went over the situation in my mind, and it just got worse the more I thought about it. I decided to start trying to make it up to him, when my hand started feeling odd. It was the same not-all-there feeling when I didn't have my charm on, but I was wearing it. Embarrassed, internally panicking, and more than a little freaked out about the whole ordeal, I tried to respond to him as best I could.
"Umm... I- thank you? And I'm really sorry I called you scary, I didn't mean it that way. You- you just startled me!" I slowly drew my hand away from his grasp, giving him a gentle smile before I remembered what he said.
"Wait, hold on. What do you mean, peculiar?"

The centaur cocked his head. "I don't know. You are solid and definitely real, but you seem almost faded." He said in a serious voice. "Not just faded as a person, but also in mentality." He explained "OH! I-I'm not saying that it's bad!." He stammered, "I just mean that you caught my eye, that's all." He blushed. "You see, i'm a centaur but one of my distant relatives was telekinetic and although his ability skipped generation or two it still managed to appear in me." He yammered obviously trying to make up for maybe offending you. "But it didn't come out as strong but I can still sense a person's mentality and a few emotions, and your mentality was faded." He said out of breath. "Oh jeez I fear I may have scared you even more." He said as he hid his face in his hands.

"It's a not very nice way." He mumbled under his breath and returned to his beast's side. "You ready to fly?" He asked as he mounted the giant, winged lion.

The hound growls and snaps it's gory jaws at you. In the distance you can hear Beth cursing profusely and loud wailing and yelping.

"Sure." Phoenix tooj a step and lapt onto Lilacs back. "Where to?"

You manage to place a shallow wound on it's shoulder. It howls with fury and tries to leap onto you.

Damien pointed to a small outcrop in the mountain in front of you. He then urged his ride to fly, and the mighty beastling ricocheted into the air.
