As your group finishes reading the sign there is unrest in the air. What will happen next? Should you try to make it to the end of the valley and home or stay here where you will be safe and comfortable? There is firewood enough that it will last for months and upon exploring there is running water, kitchen, books and other entertainment, along with enough food supplies to last for years stocked in the cupboards and pantry. There are those unopened chests as well in the rooms each member of the party woke up in that might have something useful in them to continue on with or to keep you entertained here. What will you do?
I open my chest quickly and take the item from it. I leave the house, only to alert the others with a big shout that I'm now leaving.

I head toward the chest and kick it open. I take the content then decide to go check out the library. I figure I should take different path than usual since it feel so deja vu....

I look at the others, reread the sign, and then look around again. "I'm eating breakfast first and then leaving. Food is always good."

Matt looked at the sign one last time, him thinking to himself. "The valley is more than likely dangerous, as the sign says," he thought to himself. He didn't know who the others were, and he didn't want to really interact with them much until he knew who they were a bit more. He thought to himself about the options. "Reading a book could provide valuable knowledge about the valley outside, or perhaps even this cabin... Going to the kitchen isn't really going to help me get home... Perhaps the chest has something of value..." He walked into the room where the chest was, him tapping the wooden box. He wasn't sure if anything was inside or not, but it was worth looking into it. "It isn't like there's anything dangerous in the cabin, since the sign said so..." He attempted to open the lid to see if anything was inside.

The library was fairly calm with nothing making it stand out from other libraries other then the wall of windows showing the valley. The valley was big enough that the end couldn't be seen from here but what was visable was breathtaking and you would never think of the deadly creatures and traps awaiting in it.
Outside was a meadow, bright, sunny, peaceful, and calm. The wind blowing through the grass and flowers which sometimes rippled with creatures rushing through. Nothing seemed wrong here and there could be nests with egglings or hatchlings in the grass.
(As a wrench this round, There is a map of the valley somewhere in the starting area which can lead you through the valley if found. It cannot be shared and if more then one person looks at it it will disappear)
I decide not to wander out into the valley without some decent info about the place so I head to the library to see if there was anything useful I could learn from it.

Matt stood up after he took the item that he had found in the chest. "A bunch of flowers... What on Earth am I supposed to do with these," he mumbled to himself in thought. "They may have a purpose for later... I'll just have to wait, I suppose..." He looked around, hoping that no one was there to see what he had found in the chest. He turned to the door then, and he left the room. After he got back to the main hall, he took a quick look at the sign before he started observing his surroundings. He had no idea what the others he had been trapped with were going to do, and he wasn't sure if he wanted to know in the first place. "What am I doing even having a small bit of thought about what their doing? I have to take care of myself... It isn't like their going to help me..."
With that, he turned his head to look at the library. "I'm going to stick to the plan that I have... Before I leave the peace of this cabin, I'm going to find out as much information as I can... Perhaps a list of the locations where I am, or perhaps even a bit of information on the dangers that the sign was talking about... Hopefully the library will be the place that I can learn it." He walked over to the door, and noticing that it was open, he knew that someone else had to have walked inside. He disregarded it afterwards, however, and he walked in. He looked at the vast amount of books there were, and he knew that one of them had to hold something that would help him out. "Well, I knew there was a library, but this place is a bit big! Where do I begin?"
He started looking around, checking out the titles of the books. He knew that those with names related to their location would be of more help than those that weren't. Any of the others that didn't have those kinds of names were more than likely storybooks, or useless encyclopedias. After he had accumulated enough for a small stack, he decided that he had enough for the moment. He walked a little ways away, not wanting anyone, if they were around, to know what he would find out. He took the small pile and set them at his side, which meant the books were between him and a wall. He took the book that was on the top of the pile, and he set it on the floor, him grabbing a pen and a small notebook from a shelf nearby.
"This should do... Now, about those notes..." He started looking through the book, just to find that there wasn't anything of use to him in it. He put it at his other side and took the second book, setting it in front of himself. When he opened it, he grinned a bit to himself in his head. "Now I think I'm getting a start," he thought to himself, starting to take notes from the book that he had set down. He quickly went through the next few books, him sighing and taking a break after the third book. "Looking through so may books can give someone a headache," he mumbled to himself, rubbing his eyes after he set the pen down. He sat back a bit, letting his head rest.
He tried to take in everything that he was reading, and toss out the parts that he knew he wasn't going to need, or, at least, that he thought he wouldn't. All the while, he continued to ignore what the others were doing. It wasn't like what they did would affect him at the current moment, now would it? He didn't hear any of them trying to talk to him, so he wasn't going to talk back. After a little while of remembering what he would need, he leaned back forward, taking the next book from his pile as he began to take notes on it. He didn't care to watch the time, knowing that since the sign said he would be safe, it wouldn't make a difference how long he spent in the library. He eventually became hungry, however, and decided he would take his business to the kitchen.
He set the books that he had finished with on a table nearby, him returning and picking up the remainder of the books that he had left to read. Some were small, and others were large, which meant the amount of information they held could be miniscule or much. He took the books to the kitchen, where he sat them down on a table and grabbed himself a bite to eat, sitting down. "I have to multitask. If I just do one thing at the time, then I'm not making the most of my time." He opened the book that he had currently been taking notes on, him noticing that he was starting to run out of room on the paper. He had to start writing smaller, or elsewise he would waste some of the valuable information he was collecting, since he wouldn't be able to take a record of it.
He wasn't necessarily skimming through the books, but he wasn't scanning them completely either. The method he had been using was simple; look at the table of contents, and then at the index if there was one. He had been looking at the topics, and anything of interest about where he was that he found got looked at. As he continued to write his notes, his mind thought a bit on his family. Since he had just randomly disappeared, who knew what they were thinking. How would his mother respond, or his two brothers? Would they be angry about his disappearance and think he ran from home, or would they listen to his story if and when he returned, and would they understand?
Matt turned his head upwards a bit when he heard someone else walk into the room. He didn't speak, him taking his mind away from his family and what they would think. He couldn't sit there and worry himself to death about how his family would feel when he returned... For the moment, he had to focus on getting back so that he could explain what had happened. When he heard a plate sliding across the table, he turned his head down a bit and noticed the food on it. He turned his head to the person that had slid it to him, and he shook his head a couple of times. "No thanks. I'm glad you offered, but I've already grabbed something to eat." In truth, he really wasn't that hungry anymore, having a small twist in his stomach.
He looked over at the couple of books that he had left. He realized then that he had been rude, and he hadn't even said who he was. Knowing this, he turned his head back and looked at the stranger. "I'm sorry, I feel so rude. I forget a few times to tell someone who I am, so please excuse me for that. My name is Matt..." He gave the girl a small smile before he turned his head back to the book that he was currently reading. As he read on the animals that could be in the valley, he started questioning if the book had correct information. "Based on what I'm reading, the valley is dangerous... But the creatures it's saying may be within the valley just don't seem correct..." He shut the book immediately, his thoughts on the fact the book may be incorrect.
He grabbed the book up from the table, holding it out to the girl. "This... This is a primary example of some fool writing random literature to get money for whatever purpose," he said to her, just before he tossed the book towards the garbage bin. He was a bit surprised that the book hit the side and landed at the bottom with the rest of the junk that was held captive by the rectangular thing. He turned his head back to the couple of books that he had left then, him picking up the next one and opening it. He wasn't going to let the fact someone else was around distract his primary objective of figuring out as much information as he could. However, when he thought about it, he turned his head back to the girl.
He noticed that she was the same one he had seen in the library. His thoughts turned to whether he should ask if she would be willing to share the notes that she had, but he thought that she probably wouldn't. Everyone was out for themselves unless they built a team to travel with, and he was hoping that he could go at the adventure alone. Having more people could cause more attention in the wild, after all, and he wasn't in the mood to try attracting unnecessary attention. With that in mind, he ignored that it was the same girl, him turning back to the books. He quickly went through the one that he had taken from the top of the remainder of his stack, since it hadn't been as big as the others.
After he had finished with that one, he set it on the other side, grabbing the last book that he had. He hoped that something useful was inside, him opening the cover. The book seemed a bit old, and it seemed as though others had grabbed it from the shelf. "I wonder if we're not the only ones that had been brought here," he thought to himself, noticing that the book had a couple of warnings. The warnings were telling those that attempted to read the book to stay inside, as it was safer. It went on to explain the exact same thing that the sign had, and he blinked a couple of times. He just shut the book, not wanting to turn anymore of the pages and see what people had written for when someone was reading the book.
"Well, that finishes my research," he thought to himself, picking up the couple of books. He picked up the small notebook that he had grabbed, knowing it was full of notes that he had taken from the stack of books he had collected. He walked about to the library, him walking to where he had sat the other books he had collected. He put the small notebook in his pocket, set the pen back where he had gotten it from, and started putting the books up. He didn't know if the person that he had met in the kitchen was going to follow him or not, him hoping just slightly that she wasn't, so she wouldn't see which books he had collected. When he was finished with that, he turned his head to the window, looking outside at the valley. "To say the truth, I am just a bit afraid of the valley," he thought to himself.
