"Oh, don't worry about that, I already have" Sylver said slyly, showing her the purple colored pokeball. "Though I'm always up for messing with Rhys, so what do you have in mind?" Sylver asked.

Ailla smiled wickedly. "Ok, first we need mud a cliff and a pit fall trap. Also if I could get rowlet to listen long enough to make sure you were safe, would you mind hanging off a cliff?" Ailla asked. "Tho this might be a bit too mean." Ailla said thoughtfully

Gradient inspected the newcomer. Deceptive, yet seemingly friendly. Like the legendary Blue, sister of Silver and former champion, if Gradient remembered correctly. He was about to introduce himself, but the lady spun away. A minute later, a light flashed on in the direction she ran off to. Was that a Holocaster? Gradient was going to have to find out more about that later.

He let out his Pokemon, having retracted them a minute ago. "Forget about hand motions. Too hard. Even I know my limits." Gradient told his Pokemon. "We're going to utilize a new system for moves."

The code wasn't hard; The first and last letter of a move, then a vowel in the middle if one of the original letters weren't a vowel. The vowel in the middle wasn't set; only the two letters on the outside. This was to try to avoid anyone else catching on.

Gradient taught this system to his Pokemon for about ten minutes. He glanced over at Sylver and Ailla. Should he?

Yes. Yes he should.

Gradient knew how to read lips; that was something he learned on his own. His father and mother would often talk in hushed whispers, and therefor, this skill gave him something to use against them. Gradient rolled up his left sleeve, staring down at a black serpent tattoo curling around his left forearm, a way of saying "F you" to his parents, namely his dad. An Ekans had outsmarted Gradient's father a few years back. Gradient smirked, before rolling back the sleeve.

Gradient wasn't too good at reading lips, but he got the general gist of things: A fear of spiders, revenge, a prank, and a plan. Nothing too interesting. Nothing worth Gradient's time, anyways. A petty fear, and a petty plan for revenge. Ha!

Gradient turned his head to the direction in which Lysa had strode off to. "You know what to do." Gradient read.

What could that possibly mean? It could be something innocent.

But it never was.

Gradient had learned that the hard way.

A slashing sound could be heard from the direction in which Thomas and Yuri had went a bit earlier it soon sounded like a battle was going on, and indeed there was. Riolu and Rock ruff were toe to toe in the clearing. " That's good Thomas I think your getting to hang of it." Yuri said moving her foot slightly to the left, Riolu doing the same before using Force palm on Rockruff. after taking the hit Thomas through his hand out to the left, Rockruff using tackle, before Riolu dodged. "Good to know I think he is getting the hang of just the moves now, going through the caverns again did him some good" Thomas said relaxing a bit. "mm hm I think that's a good start we can have a real battle later, right now lets take a break to eat!" Yuri said taking off her back pack, she pulled a few bowls from her bag and filled them with pokemon food before tossing Thomas a half of a sandwich. And with all of their pokemon happily eating together the two took a brake. Riolu however took his bow and sat in Yuri's lap letting his trainer stroke his ears while he ate. " Hey Yuri, you think the little guy will ever grow out of his attachment, I mean I know you saved him and all, but he is really attached" Thomas said cocking his head to the side " well, I don't think it will really matter, He is attached to me because I make him feel safe, and that may evolve over time, but he may always be attached" Yuri said with a smile, she cared for all of her pokemon and had no favorites, tough her Riolu and Vul shared something special.

Setting: Akala Outskirts
Time: 10: 48 PM
Weather: Severe Rain Storm

"Yuri! Its no use! no one is going to believe us!" Thomas yelled through the wind " It doesn't matter we have to find Vul and Ren and get out of here before we really are goners!" Yuri said her tears mixing with the rain. today had been quite the test for the two, the trial were difficult, but this was real, and not something two rookies should have been faced with. None the less they had gotten pulled into quite the predicament, and with no pokemon and a sever downpour upon them all seemed lost. despite their misfortune the two set out in search for their companions. " Vul-Pix!" they heard through her wind the two young trainers bolting to find their only friends when the reached the outer edge they were shocked at what they saw. their two pokemon were fighting off a high level Tarus, but another sound could be heard. Between his horns was a small Riolu the two Vulpix gave it all they had but in the end were too exhausted to fight. " We got to get them out of here !" Thomas pleaded, but Yuri's eyes were locked on the Riolu her fists in tight small balls and anger seeming to whip around her like flames. As the Tarus rared back for another blow Yuri sprang forward " What are you doing!!" Thomas cried reaching his hand out only to grab a fist full of air. Yuri yelled as she stood knelt in front of the small pokemon her arms crossed as the horns collided with her arms. It hurt a lot, but Yuri knew she couldn't just leave him the Tarus backed up once again a bit surprised someone had stepped in his way. Yuri stood up as tall as she could a fire in her eyes that would have scared anyone, as the lightning and thunder crackled and boomed behind her. The Tarus charged again striking Yuri a second time a t full speed. Thomas however had called out Luna His Leafeon and the two used a few small scale attacks, as they were pretty beat up from what they had gotten into before. Seeing he was Out numbered the Tarus fled leaving a tiered Thomas with three exhausted pokemon, an Unconscious Yuri, and a shivering Riolu.

Yuri was in the hospital for a few days before she could get up and walk around, but the Riolu never left her side... until they were forced to leave.....

"Allia, were trying to get revenge, not kill him" Sylver laughed. "If he ever does mess with me though, I still have Missy, and we'll make him sorry." Sylver said, tightly gripping the pokeball in her hand. "Anyways, let's go do some training, we gotta get super strong to fight Hala!" Sylver said, starting to headband over to a pace to train.

Lysa looked around.
Good, she thought, no one saw me.
She directed her attention to Umbreon, who was looking rather pissed. He had, after all, wanted to participate in the Trials, and had not been up for the idea of ruining them.
"Umbreee! Umbreon!" he yowled.
"Shut up! Boss gave us orders, we can't disobey him!" she hissed, clapping a palm over the pokemon's mouth. Umbreon glared at her, but quieted up.
She looked at the boy with the serpent tattoo. It surprised her by the fact he also had one. She had gotten a snake tattoo on her arm in memory of Naga, her Seviper back in the Hoenn region when she was a young trainer. She walked over to the kids.
"So," she said. "What's the task?"

"What... task?" Rhys asked, confused. "Task is a bit of an odd way to phrase it" Rhys commented "But anyways, I was going to do some training before I battled the kahuna." Rhys told Lysa. "You wanna join me?" Rhys invited her.

Sylver headed over to Yuri and Thomas "Hey guys! are you training to fight Hala?" Sylver said excitedly. Sylver lightly tossed the odd purple pokeball in her hand lightly. "I feel so excited, look my my new little buddy! His name is Rai!" Sylver said, putting on rubber gloves before letting the pokemon out of the ball. She quickly grabbed it in her hands, it tried to shock her, but to no prevail. "I'm having some trouble getting him to sit still, he always runs off" Sylver sighed. "But he is a great pokemon" Sylver added.

Yuri Chuckled " a bit of a runner huh.... well sometimes, Training to stay put can be done with a negative re-enforcer, It takes one of your more loyal pokemon to keep a troublemaker in line" Yuri said with a smile. Thomas shook his head " Well you ever need help with training Techniques Yuri is your short stop.." he said rubbing the back of his head. Yuri blushed a bit she never really thought of herself skilled at it.

"Yeah, I'm sure with a bit of training he'll- whoops!" Sylver struggled to grab for the baby electric pokemon as it jumped from her hands. It jumped right on to Yuri's head, giving a strong electric jolt, then leaping onto Thomas, giving a just as strong jolt of electricity. The little Pichu then ran back to Sylver, jumping back into her hands. "Pi! Pichu, Pichu Pichu!" It said proudly, pointing to what it did.
