Knuckles had been off Angel Island for a while now, and was on one of the smaller uninhabited isles of the coast of one of the continents. Thoroughly equipped with iron claws and night vision shades, he would find an emerald. He walked through the mountainous region, his senses picking up a near by energy source. He rushed to it, only to find a banged up machine. Woah. He left and continued on.

Sonic roamed the open field, wind slapping in his face. Man, life is good, He thought. Now if only he had something to do. That would make his day.

Shell snorted out more steam as she saw some red fuzzy thing in the distance. Snorting she guessed it was some sort of treasure hunter. Disgusted she edged farther back into her cave.

Knuckles flicked his head skyward, trying to pick up another signal. He growled quietly. there wasnt much alive 'round here, other then the occasional vulture or small mammal. He shrugged and kept walking.

A idiotic lemming wandered into her cave. Snorting with pleasure she killed it. AND ATE IT. Scraping the bones aside she flopped down bored out of her mind.

The echidna looked over his shoulder, eyes darting. He thought he saw just a faint movement in the distance. He decided to move in that direction to check it out. "Adventure, right?" He said with a lopsided grin.

('AND ATE IT.' lol)

Shell paced back and forth in her cave and positioned her self in its shadows her eyes gleaming maliciously in the dark.

Whistling a slow yet energetic tune, Knuckles half walked, half paraded along. the rugged landscape made the going slow. Like he cared! He was picking up something now. This was a good idea, he thought, confidence in every step.

From the darkness of her cave she could see the red fuzzy thingy getting closer his scent drifting on the breeze. Strange she thought He's really stupid huh? snorting she kept to the shadows the yellow emerald in her claws.

The echidna was scaling a small cliffside now. When he reached the top, he paused and looked around. "Huh," He grunted looking over the edge maybe the cliff wasnt as low as he though. He lifted his snout testing the air. Was that blood he could smell? The metallic scent was unmistakable. "This day just keeps gettin' better an' better,"

Licking her lips with a forked tongue she kept her eyes on the echidna. Welp if he finds me he DIESSSS she thought still clutching the yellow emerald in her blue claws her talons aching from were it dug into her scales.
