She jumped down with a loud thud and sniffed the hoof prints, her stomach growled wildly and looked around for anything else

Caspian shudders, shifting into a lion and inspecting the prints from the ground. "I have no idea what these are from.... hopefully it's not aggressive?" He calls worriedly.

"you're right, i'll check" i say, pulling out the book and flipping through the pages until i find the section about animals and scanning each page until i see a picture that matches one of the creatures in the herd. "looks like it's called a deer" i read, frowning "they're herbivores, they aren't listed as aggressive but it says they can be dangerous in herds"

He carefuly slithered back down from the tree, keeping an eye from where the deers had come from, if they were herbivore that ment that they were most likely fleeing from somthing after all. "Good to know that we have found a source of meat, we may not be the only thing who see them as pray tho..."

Caspian nods carefully, getting a sinking feeling in his stomach. Lions were supposed to be predatory animals, so he was probably first or second in line for a hunting expedition, but he was a) a runt and b) hopeless at anything to do with killing or injuring someone or something. Personally, he doubted he'd be able to take down a single one of these 'deer'. He didn't want to disappoint the others, though....

"lets wait until we find a place to settle down before we go hunting for anything, i think it would be easier than hauling around a massive deer carcass around, right?" i ask, shrugging "besides, we are still totally out in the open, we should look for somewhere to put our camp while we still can" i add, glancing around. something tells me deer arent the only thing in this forest.

She shifted uncomfortably "o-okay" she agreed

"Yes, let's not stay in one place for too long, that could attract the attention of our... competitors." By that, he of course ment the possible predators or anything less harmless then a deer that would have decided that the group was a threat as he kept scaning the area with his eyes.

"yeah, i don't want to meet what spooked them" i shudder, glancing around "should we continue in the same direction? i mean the herd came from that direction so maybe whatever spooked them is still in that direction" i muse, biting my lip. i am by no means a coward, but that does not mean i will haphazardly throw myself at danger without a little thought
