His eyes widen from the sudden attack before this hand moves and a bolt of red is shot at the knife sending it flying to the side.

He looked down to his other hand which was still rested at his side. You never even saw that hand move but he was holding a wand that wasn't there before. You saw a hint of the light from before disappearing back into the wand, "It's an illusion. It looked like that came out of my other hand right?" he said looking back at the hand he had raised in the air, "It actually came from my wand." he said looking back down at the wand.
