So low level magitech, high fantasy, not quite industrial revolution level, got it. I assume there's still occupations for wizards and spellcasters that are probably basically treated as scholars in branch of magical science and work alongside others that work with more traditional technologies of the time that are meant to work in tandem with the universe's understanding of magic. That's a bit harder for me to work out details on off the top of my head since I have a less complete understanding of the 1700s-mid 1800s tech than I do of other periods. Since it's high fantasy I have a lot of leeway with things and can work things out as we go, since I like to compulsively research settings as I write anyways, lol.

Yeah. In the original there wasn't much mention of the other things, since both characters were very much so wanted assassins. But if you're okay with it we could work out things as we go.
