(Wondering that myself honestly. I was going to wait it out to see how the activity goes through the weekend since most people work/have school, etc. My online time's pretty sporadic too. I check the site a lot esp if I'm up during the night for whatever reason, but even I have a hard time keeping up with forum rps sometimes, lol. (Plus I forget to log out a lot and people get snappy at me for not keeping up with pings.))

Lyon Lothaire
From the distance, Lyon watched the distant sight of the Empress on her balcony briefly. He was sure he'd get chased off by a palace guard if he remained near the outside for far too long, but for the moment, he was spellbound. Even from here, it was easy to tell how attractive the young ruler was.
He pushed it out of mind before he drew any attention to himself or worse, unclean thoughts and simply made his approach closer to the castle gates and the royal knights that guarded them.
"Greetings, sirs. Excellent night, it is." He dipped his head to one of them respectfully, doing his best impressions of an accent.
"If it can be done, I wish to request an audience with the Empress as soon as she is available in regards to applying for formal citizenship as a refugee from the island territory of Selan. I have been in Arkaos for some time, but I am still not entirely familiar with Arkaos' law so I do not mean any disrespect if I am meant to go doing so through other means."

Archer Wolfram Percival
Archer folded his arms, waiting. While the process and the lingering alcohol in his system made him somewhat impatient, his nerves about speaking directly with the icy empress kept it at bay for now.

(I've had one or two bad days and didn't get on for a week or so, and when I returned everyone was sooo mad at me because I never log out and sometimes it showed I was still online)

Seraphina De Arkaos
A guard knocked on her door, and ruined her current mood. She turned walking back inside. " Enter. " She called out. A young male guard walked inside, shrinking under the Empresses icy gaze. " Y-youre majesty, A-aedan De D-doria has asked for an a-audience w-with you and c-count of K-karavos. " The guard stuttered out. She inwardly rolled her eyes, but she might as well hear what he and this count had to say. " Let them in. " She said.

The guard quickly stood and returned to the pair. " The Empress has allowed you entry. "

Rando gate guard
" You will have to wait till morning for that. " He answered.

Lyon Lothaire

Morning?" He was visibly disappointed but did not wish to cause a scene. He'd have to put off business for a day then, it seemed. At least it gave him a few hours of sleep. But the anxiety of the affair and the thief from earlier still kept his mind restless. He wouldn't get much.
"If the court is busy, then aye, sir. I will return at dawnbreak."
Lyon turned away and started back to the inn, opting to take a longer route back. Who knew if he'd even live through the audience tomorrow? If anything went awry in his 'story', would he not simply be sent to the stake? He intended to make the most of the night scenery while he still had the chance.

Archer Wolfram Percival

Archer stepped pretty quietly into the Empress's chamber, keeping his wings at a half-open alert. It was apparent his nerves had gotten the best of him and he was visibly sweating at the forehead the moment he had locked his eyes on her.
"Y-Your Highness, y-you look absolutely lovely this evening. W-We apologize for the intrusion, but there is an affair we wish to speak of you with." He stammered out, not sure else how else to start the conversation.

She glared at him, her intimidating prescense looming over them. But she might as well get it over with. " What affair? " She inquired to him. She'd guessed that these two were part of her father's memorial party in the grand hall, and they'd most likely come to ask her for a pardon for their foolish actions. A small breeze blew in from the open balcony doors, which chilled the room quite a low temperature.

"About the b-banquet, your Highness."

Archer raised his wings slightly, folding the tips of them over his arms to remain warm in the chilliness. He swallowed hard as he felt her icy eyes burning straight into his flesh and lowered his head slightly to avoid her glare.

"I c-cannot speak for the rest of the nobility of the Kingdom of Caemid regarding the extent of communication on the preparations and planning, but I would like to extend my sincerest of apologies on behalf of House Karvos for our behavior. It was my understanding that Prince Folcard was meant to speak to you directly with his nation's desires for holding the service this year, but I believe he was drawn into a matter regarding the church in the month prior. The nobility was asked to hold things on his behalf. I-I see now that we have much to learn in regards to your Empire's customs. It was never our intent to offend your family or the late Emperor's memory."

The empress let out a quiet sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. " So you want me to not give you a punishment because of some customs that both countries had been unaware of? It seems that Caemid is most at fault for sending nobles who apparently have no idea to act in the empire. " She tried not to let her hate against men cloud her current judgement. But this one in particular made it quite difficult for her, using a petty excuse such as it was a kingdom of Caemid custom. But it seems he forgot that he wasn't in Caemid, he was in her country. Arkaos. Not to mention she felt highly disrespected at the fact that this prince put off meeting with her about something that involved her family directly, whether she considered the late emperor family or not.

" And not to mention I do not recall getting so much as a footnote about my nobles in my kingdom partying till the sun comes up at something that is supposed to be a memorial service for their own late emperor. " She said, trying to cool her temper.

Aedan De Doria

Aedan had listened in silence, not daring to interrupt. He kept his hands clasped together, to prevent them from shaking, and keep his composure. He had to stay calm in front of the Empress, otherway it would be disastrous.
As she mentionned the nobles from his kingdom, he decided it was the right moment to help the Count and join the conversation.
He took a step forward, and bowed respectfuly.

"Your Majesty"

He paused for a short moment.

" I want to apologize for my behaviour, if I have seemed irreverent or disrepectful towards you and tour family in any way. I knew that feasting on a mourning day was going against our traditions. I should have informed them about that fact and asked them to put an end to the banquet, instead of joining them."

Her attention snapped to the other boy. " You say that you knew it was wrong, and yet, what stopped you? Fear? " She inquired, her icy gaze moving to him. She recognized this one's face. She already recognized him from his last name, but she recalled the Duke of Doria having 3 sons. Now she knew exactly which one.
