I just tried trapping him when he was Elusive and it didn't work, so i think there may be a chance i will fail rearguardless...

So it appears that there is one choice for each type of Tom that will work. However, it is not a 100% chance that it will work. At least by figuring out the other options, we can help each other maximize our effectiveness.

Yeah, looks like you don't have 100% change of catching him, even if you choose the right option.
Hmm...so the rewards I have found so far are: some random philters and...this egg.
I am interested to see if the eggs are all random, or are they based on Toms looks. I have seen one other persons eggs and it has similar coloring to mine. I wonder if I should make a Tom the Turkey's egg thread.

I've gotten a philter and a lesser pet dye, to add that to the prize pool.

Whoa, I didn't think it was possible but that's awesome. That might be one of the rarer prize Krin was talking about.
