I'm so stupid

"Oh, y-yeah, h-his good side h-has no B-B-Brit-British accent," I stuttered. I was bad with shyness sometimes. "Was th-the correct t-term Engl-English or Brit-British?"

She stood up.

"It would be British." I said. I froze before staring at him with wide eyes. I mentally prepared myself to be hit.

I backed behind my test subject. "Protect me," I whispered. "She looks angry."

I watch him cringe. "Are y-you okay? I-I won't h-hurt you. I-I was w-whipped by him t-t-t-too."

I look at him suspiciously. Finally I realize he wasn't lying and say quietly "I'm Dominick." I don't relax around him, but maybe he won't hit me.

" Who is she? " She asked.

"Uh, you," said my trust test subject.

I whimpered behind him. She was the one who tried to murder me.

"David," I said. I was finally getting a little used to him, but felt myself blush when I realized the blanket wrapped around him. "Do y-you need a change of c-clothes?"

I look at him unsure if he was asking to just ask or if was asking to get me some. 'Well he gave me his name, so he is at least a bit sane.' I thought. "Yes." I whisper and nod.
