Cobalt picked up a small, sharp rock lying near his foot. Holding it up to his face, he observed it, his eyes soaking up every small detail. Lowering it to his palm, he cut through his skin, a shallow cut.

Phoenix and Peggi kept moving. There was no shelter in sight yet. Not even a decent rock face.

Cobalt didn't wince as blood welled up at an astonishing rate. Dropping the rock on the ground, he wiped his hand on the slab, watching the lines it left. He smiled to himself.

Willow and Matt found a small, barely standing wall and camped behind it. Willow would stay up all night so Matt could sleep in peace her eyes scanning the vast lands. She swore she heard people, but she ignored it all.

(Just gonna get mine to meet someone within the next few pages cuz otherwise this will get quite awkward...pages of solitary players walking around aimlessly-ish)


Phoneix and Peggi kept moving, Peggi keeping her eyes out for a good place to camp. Phoenix limped along behind her.

Cobalt stepped forward to inspect his 'art', only to leap back and yell loudly in pain. Wincing, he raised his foot, looking at its arch. A piece of metal spoke had stabbed him.

THe siblings heard something yell. Peggi jumped. She glanced around. "ANother chimera?" she asked nervously.
Phoenixi frowned. "Sounded too human to be a mutant, though. Remember the sound that the-thing-nade when it saw us? Before it started attacking?."

"Oh yeah...If it's a person we have to help them! There's almost no one left!"

"Not so fast. Let's check the situation out first." Phoneix cautioned.

Cobalt sat back down and grabbed the bag near him. Pulling out a thicc wrap of bandages, he wrapped his foot and put them back.

"I don't see anyone, Peggi. Now we really need to find shelter unless you'd like to camp in th eopen tonight?" Phoenix noticed a large rocky area. "This'll do." He put down the battered pack on his back and pulled out a fraying blanket and two old cusions. "Sorry sis, I've got nothing but an old banana in here. We'll have to go find food tomrow." He pulled out a very black banana that still had a little yellow-green on it and handed it to Peggi. SHe'd eat about half and the rest would be his.
